Rohingya not welcome

Rakhine,
Myanmar

Sittwe, the capital of Burma's Rakhine state, is a town divided. Or, put more accurately, segregated, thanks to the majority Buddhist Rakhine people developing a passion for beating, raping, murdering, and setting fire to members of the local Muslim Rohingya minority.
Everyone you talk to from this country's Rohingya minority knows someone who attempted the dangerous and illegal journey by sea: a relative, neighbor or friend.
The United Nations estimates more than 100,000 Rohingya fled Myanmar this way since ethnic and sectarian violence erupted in the country's western Rakhine state in the summer of 2012.

The Rohingyas are special people that have a place in our theme.
