The view from the lighthouse

Engeland,
Groot-Brittannië

Corrie posted a photo recently of the South Foreland Lighthouse.
This is the view from the lighthouse looking towards our village of St Margarert-at-Cliffe.
To orientate you, just below the white cliffs and just out of view is the house of Noel Coward which I showed you earlier. Looking far out to sea on the horizon is the windfarm from my last upload. The tall obelisk on top of the cliffs is the monument to the Dover Patrol. The Dover Patrol formed a discrete unit of the Royal Navy based at Dover and Dunkirk for the duration of the First World War. Its primary task was to prevent enemy German shipping—chiefly submarines—from entering the English Channel en route to the Atlantic Ocean, thereby obliging the German Navy to travel via the much longer route around Scotland which was itself covered by the Northern Patrol.Another obelisks stands in New York Harbour.
Behind us is Dover and the ferry ports.

I think you need to open this to see what I am talking about :)
