The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is a Fairmont Hotel on the eastern shore of Lake Louise, near Banff, Alberta.
This hotel began as a simple, single level log cabin, in 1890, intended as a day lodge for visiting mountaineers.
This hotel has a long history, many fires destroyed the building and every time it was rebuilt and a wing was added
The original Chateau was gradually built up at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century by the Canadian Pacific Railway
