Vanaf de Misty berg in regio Arequipa maakten mijn vriendin en ik een downhill afdaling met mountainbike. Erg gaaf om te doen (met voldoende protectie). Verradelijk is het wel want de vulkanische as is erg fijn met als gevolg dat ik in een bocht over mijn stuur vloog, gelukkig met alleen flink geschaafde knokkels en lichte kneuzing. Led Zeppelin maakte in 1971 het nummer 'Misty Mountain Hop':
