Queen Emma Bridge ( "The Swinging Old Lady")
A floating pontoon bridge that links the "Punda" (Point Side) and the "Otrobanda" (Other Side) of the Willemstad across the Sint Annabaai Channel.
This bridge was built in 1888 by Leonard Burlington Smith, and named after Queen Emma.
16 floating pontoon boats support the “Pontoon Bridge.” it swings open (that is why the name "The Swinging Old Lady")
using two powerful ship motors, allowing ships to access the port.
