The morning puja in the inner sanctum includes (the Brahmins)bathing the 4m-high Shiva lingam with coconut milk and turmeric. Its a very pious and devout affair, but as you can see by the faces of these young girls exiting the central shrine that it is a happy and relaxed occurrence.
