Nandi, bull is the mount of the Hindu god Shiva. Every Shaivite temple has the figure of a white, humped bull reclining on a raised platform and facing the entrance door of the shrine. By the ghats in Chanderi an inquisitive Nandi bull sniffs at his small replica.
