The waters beside the China Clay Hills are a startling turquoise due to to chemical compound in the clay. Locals make the journey here to enjoy a picnic and even a quick swim in the lake.
There is a small drink stall selling cold drinks, dry biscuits and sweet plum tea. And waiting besides the stall are local kids that want to be your guide and will scramble up the hills to show you the best viewpoint and the area with the most colour.
