TANZANIA’S GOVERNMENT is facing an international backlash over its decision to boot out about 40,000 Masai tribespeople from their ancestral lands in order to make room for a hunting reserve for the Dubai royal family.
Authorities had been planning to create a 1,500 sq km area for the use of a commercial hunting and safari business based in the United Arab Emirates, but the plans were apparently abandoned last year following a campaign led by activists. (http://es.rt.com/CiR)
