The Full Moon Party is an all-night beach party that takes place in Haad Rin beach on the island of Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand on the night before or after every full moon. It is an all night party happening, with lots of food and drinks, this photo shows how you buy and drink your booze "In a bucket" with a straw. There is enough choice for everyone, you make your own mixture.
Honey Mushroom
With help of Wikipedia,I learned these mushrooms are called Honey mushrooms . They grow on dead trees as parasites, they attack the coarse roots and base of living trees, creating a spongy white “butt rot” that will kill and topple the tree. I think they are beautiful. Don't know if they are edible.
Mushroom Saucers
It was such a beautiful day, so I decided to take a walk in the woods, the " Groenendalsebos" This time of year is mushroom time, the most beautiful sorts can be found. These looks just like saucers, i have no idea of the name. Had to lie down in between (Brand) nettle to get this picture.
Yummy Yummy
Thong sala is the main town on Koh Phangan, it is small but quite busy. One of the main attraction is the Night Market. You can buy the food per plate,or a snack, there are rows of carts or stalls with all kinds of food ranging from Curries, noodles fish, meats, vegetables about everything, all of it is cooked right there and taste is good.
Braai
I was in Canada last year and visited the Servus Heritage Festival it is an annual event in Edmonton. a three-day showcase of Canada’s vibrant multicultural heritage. It represents over eighty-five cultures from all over the world. Perhaps the most compelling feature of the Festival that continues to draw people year after year is…the FOOD . This was the African stand with the famous Braai.
Beauty of a Setting..
On the columbus site, i have seen many sunsets passing by from all over the world, one more beautiful and colorful than the other, This one was made right here in north Holland, just beautiful.

Surfside Beach
Surfside Beach is a small beach just outside east of Oranjestad. So picturesque,blue waters,white sand and not very busy,a perfect place too relax and enjoy the sun
Cotton Picking
Today is the last day for the theme "Work" This photo was taken some where on the way between Aksaray and Nevesihir in Turkije . As you can see cotton picking is still done by hand, very hard work, they begin quite early in the morning it is pretty cold and later on it gets pretty hot. (My computer is working again :=)) )

Lady Drummer
Cabana Beach is located at Seaquarium Beach. The trendy restaurant offers its guests a dazzling view of the beach and the Caribbean sea. There is always live music in the evening. Earlier I placed a photo of a Rastafaraman,his band consist of 4 person which include this lady drummer,boy she was really good,I made a few photos of her but I liked this one best because of her expression.

The flying giant
The Airplane, is the beginning of most of our holidays,it brings you in a short time to parts of the world that years ago we did not think would be possible. Thanks to the Wright Brothers who invented and flew the first powered & piloted airplane. I took this picture at Hato Airport Curacao, i was going to catch my flight to Aruba,if you look closely you will see a small plane on the left side, that was my plane to Aruba, it is not even half the size of this giant's wing.
Shangana people
Midway between the Blyde River Canyon and the southern Kruger National Park, the residents of the traditional village of Shangana invites guests to share in the way of life of the Shangaan people. A bustling African market village forms the centre of Shangana, where local craftspeople make and trade their craft. This family were weaving baskets. This photo was made with a Minolta analog camera, the photos were put on CD.
Making a living
I am posting this photo because the theme this month is work. Took this on the way to Goreme, this young lady was making her own shawls and table cloths. The backgound was very impressive, you can see the top the top of the Uchisar Castle,it is a magnificent panorama.

A Man and his Dog
I took this photo at the Surfside Beach, a small beach not far from Oranjestad near to the airport. While i was spotting airplanes a man came out of his car with his dog , they both went for a swim,the dog only wanted to stay on his back,evrytime the man pushed him off he would jump right back on again. it was fun watching them.

Red admiral
The Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta) (previously also known as Pyrameis atalanta) is a well-known colourful butterfly, found in temperate Europe, Asia and North America. The Red Admiral has a two-inch (45–50 mm) wing span.[1] The species is resident only in warmer areas, but migrates north in spring, and sometimes again in autumn. This large butterfly is identified by its striking dark brown, red and black wing pattern. More specifically, the dark wings possess orange bands that cross the fore wings and on the outer edge of the hind wings; white spots on the dorsal fore wings near the front margin; reddish bars on dorsal surface of all four wings The caterpillar feeds on nettles, and the adult drinks from flowering plants like the Buddleia and overripe fruit. This is quite a mouthful,thanks to Wikepedia. I took this photo at a butterfly farm in Aruba.

Down Town by Night
L. G. Smith Boulevard is the main street of downtown Oranjestad, and connects the city with San Nicolas. It was named after Lloyd Gaston Smith, general manager of the Lago oil refinery in San Nicolas from 1933 to 1946. At the time, Lago was owned by Standard Oil Co. Of New Jersey, later Exxon Corp. The Casino is in the center,my version by night.

Coconuts
Since the theme is Work this month thought this should be a appropiate photo. Took this in the Whillemina Park near Oranjestad, one man climbed up the coconut tree and this man brought them to the hotel. He must be a very strong man because those coconuts are very heavy.

The marina is located in the Oranjestad harbor channel just east of the Cruise ship dock. Took this picture just as the sun was setting on the docks, it was a beautiful sight.

Funchi (Dushi mmm)
Plasa Bieu ( The Old Market) is located in Punda, it is open from about 10 in the morning to about 4 in the afternoon, (I say "about" that is Curacao time a litttle earlier or a litle later )hihi You can find all the native dishes for example..Krioyo (local) food,Try the Cabritu Stoba (stewed goat) Carne Stoba (stewed meat) Giambo (vegetable soup with Ochras which make the soup slimy) and Funchi. Funchi is what this man is making,it is made from corn flour and water. You have to throw in the funchi (corn flour) when the water is boiling and keep on stirring till the massa becomes stiff, it needs a lot of strength to stir when making such a big pot. You can see the expression on his face. Funchi is used as a main dish like Rice, Mashed potatoes.

Plasa Bieu (The Old..
If you want to have a taste of the delicious native dishes Plasa Bieu is the place to go, all the locals go there. There are about 5 or 6 kitchens in a row, each has their own specialty . There are no cosy corners just long picnic benches to sit on, but the food is great and cheap Hygiene and food quality are excellent, portions are generous, and prices can't be beaten. Seating is strictly first come, first served. Each stand is independently operated.

Behind The floating..
I am placing this photo because i had a few question why the Name "Floating Market" as i mentioned the market sales men comes from Venezuela, they anchor the little wooden boats in the haven spread out their colorful tents and VOILA you have, a FLOATING market, the men stay on their boats till their merchndise is sold then return to venezuela load up the boats again and return to Curacao

Floating Market
The Floating Market, one of Curacao's most famous and colorful sights. This colorful Market where Venezuelan merchants dock and sell their fresh fish,fruits,vegetables spices etc. is not very big but is nice to have a look. The locals buy all their fresh vegetables here as very little grow on the island.

Surfside Beach is a small beach just outside east of Oranjestad and just beside the runway at the Reina Beatrix International Airport. Beautiful blue sea and white sand, it is small beach, and close to the city A pefect place for spotters.

Rastafaraman
Usually all the hotel on the beaches in Curacao has entertainment. While having delicious BBQ on the Cabana Beach in curacao,there was this rege band playing the most swinging music, this was the guitar player, he was very good.
Atlanta Profile
This lovely lady was deep in thoughts,she was coaching a group of young women from Atlanta at the Arachi Beach in Aruba, how to pose for a photo shoot. At first i thought she was a native of Aruba but she told me they came from Atlanta, they went there because the beautiful beaches are a perfect backgound.
