To get to Monte Solaro there is the chairlift which, in 12 minutes, carries passengers to the summit, or one can go by foot following the road Via Salita per il Solaro which commences from Via Axel Munthe. Once at the iron cross, walkers should turn to the right for Monte Solaro.
From the summit of Monte Solaro one can enjoy a splendid aerial view of the Island of Capri, from the many viewpoints around the Fortino di Bruto, the fort restored in the nineteen fifties when the “Canzone del Cielo” establishment with swimming pool, restaurant and American bar was opened.
