Cambridge is een van de belangrijkste universiteitssteden van Engeland.
De stad staat vooral bekend om haar vele colleges, waarvan King's en Queen's de bekendste zijn. We waren hier eind september en het was druk met studenten die aan hun introductieweek bezig waren. Natuurlijk heb je een uniform nodig en, heel belangrijk, een stropdas in de collegekleuren. Daarnaast wil je in je vrije tijd ook laten zien dat je in Cambridge studeert. Voor een hoodie betaal je 31 euro, een sjaal 36 en een een T-shirt 22 euro, o.a. te koop bij E.A. Clothier tegenover King’s College (foto) nu alleen online.
Niet vanwege het virus overigens.

AE Clothier is a well established outfitter with in the past a retail shop in Kings Parade (of which many alumni have fond memories) and more recently premises in Pembroke Street.
Due to the passing away of one of the co-owners at the end of last year the business moved their city centre retail business to their factory unit at Waterbeach and altered the sales and service to an 'online' design.
With the business based outside Cambridge all orders placed either by telephone or through the website with delivery to College Porters Lodge are carriage free.
