My last visit to rural Tamil Nadu was over 40 years ago. I had read that TN was a prospering state, an overflow of IT companies from Bangalore had settled here, next to Kerala the highest educated population, etc. etc. I was anticipating great changes - but apart from the traffic, more private cars and just a higher density of traffic of the roads, I didn't notice that much change. It is still very much the India that I remember.

I did see many more public toilets, which is one of the mandates of Prime Minister Modi, in our four weeks of travels I didn't see one person defecating. Well done Mr. Modi! but so much more needs to be invested in surely before you continue India's space program.
