Hotel Sakthi Bhavan, - the pure veg "first class" restaurant at the bus station. I love the hand-painted menu - puris, thali served on a banana leaf, (common in southern India, and environmental friendly as the leaf is thrown out onto the street for the cows to eat), wadas and of course chai. Just look what the trinket man is selling - combs, safety pin, beads, transfers, bindhis. All laid out in their own trays, how long do you think it takes to set up his stall each day and how much do you think he makes each day. Hopefully enough to buy himself a meal in the Sakthi Bhavan.
