We just happened to be in old Dhaka walking through the streets. At first we noticed that kite shops had sprung up everywhere and young kids excitedly run through the streets with their newly bought kites. We asked and found out it was the Shakrain Festival, (the kite festival) which is celebrated in old Dhaka, on January 15 .
