Sunrise behind the Mt
De ochtend dat ik de Mt. Ventoux op de fiets beklom, is vastgelegd op deze foto. Het kon dan ook niet anders dan een succesvolle dag worden. En met een tijd net boven de anderhalf uur is deze dag niet alleen fototechnisch, maar ook sportief bijzonder geslaagd!
Cape Town by night,..
Anderhalf uur voordat ik op het vliegveld moest zijn, pak ik nog een taxi naar Signal Hill, aan de rand van Kaapstad. De temperatuur is heerlijk, de hemel praktisch onbewolkt en belangrijker: de Tafelberg heeft geen hoedje op deze avond. Een beetje spelen met de camera en een in mijn ogen unieke foto is gemaakt.
Petronas Towers
Another shot of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, since the other one was loved by many! I love the symmetry in this shot!
Crater Lake Oregon
The deep blue Crater Lake in the state of Oregon. Fantastic views, though little opportunities to hike. At this picture you can see Mount Bailey (left) and Mount Thielsen (right) in the background.

A family of mountain sheep in the snow, on the way to Sahale Glacier in the Northern Cascades in the gorgeous state of Washington.
Sunset over...Canyonl
An amazing sunset over Canyonlands National Park, Utah, seen from the eastern rim of Island in the Sky. Allthough I liked "The Needles" even more to hike and camp, Island in the Sky was the perfect place to see the sunset.
Lake Louise, Banff
The ice blue melting water of Lake Louise, seen from uphill on the way to Lake Agnes. Banff National Park, as well as Jasper, just North of Banff, is absolutely one of the highlights in the Canadian Rockies. Please go there!
Yellowstone Geyser...
Amazing colours at Yellowstone, Wyoming. Yellowstone is a very diverse National Park, with lots and lots of wildlife, geysers and pools and offcourse the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
Sunset at Pulau Tioma
Pulau Tioman is known as one of the TEN most beautifull islands in the world, and I cannot disagree. The inland jungle, the beautifull white beaches and the amazing coral and scubadiving spots. Worth going for sure!
Petronas Towers Kuala
I have lots of pictures of the Twin Towers, I choose to upload the sepia one. In my opinion the sepia colours give this pictures some kind of majestic feeling.
Toba Lake in the rain
The Toba Lake is an amazing place to visit, just because it's history. Unfortunately for us it was raining the whole time, but that allowed me to take an nice cloudy B&W picture.
Moluku Temple
An Indonesian temple on a little Island near Ambon. We've got family on Pulau Haruku and they showed us the most amazing spots where no tourist ever comes!! Love Indonesia...

Sunset in Kaikoura
Another pictures captured from the inside of our tent. Kaikoura is a lovely little town just above Christchurch, perfect for swimming with Dusky Dolphins and Whale Watching, and also perfect to watch the sun disappear behind the hills.
Bryce Canyon Utah
One of my favourite National Parks: Bryce Canyon. The view from Inspiration Point (looking into the Amphitheater) is wonderfull at sunrise and sunset, but this picture gives the best impression of the pinnacles.

Sunset at Mana Island "Harbor". Local people are watching the sea, waintig for the fishermen boats to return. If lucky, you can throw some of their fish on the BBQ later that night.

Mount Ngauruhoe see..
We walked the Northern Tongariro Circuit and slept in the Oturere Hut for one night. This was the view just after sunset. Mount Ngauruhoe (Mount Doom from the Lord of the Ring) was amazing to climb!

Lake Matheson was one of our stops on the way to Wanaka. You can see Mount Cook in the background, and since it's some kind of mirror lake, you can see Mount Cook in the lake as well.

From Nelson we drove to one of the most beautifull and peacefull areas in New Zealand, maybe in the whole world: Abel Tasman National Park. "Beaches from heaven" is how I would describe it when I had to.
King Waves on the...A
It was hard to capture the real size of the King Waves, just a little bit North of Carnarvon, Western Australia. They were amazingly big, and their thunder was almost frightning...
The most amazing view
This is where Western Australias Karijini National Park is famous for: deep, very deep gorges with red stone and green/blue pools at the bottom. A must see when you're in Oz!
Tunnel Mountain, Banf
After freezing to death at night (temperature around -30 Celcius) this was the view we got when we opened our tent the next morning. Tunnel Mountain in Banff. Worth every death toe.
Mirror Lake in...Yose
The name of this lake says it all: Mirror Lake. Captured at the middle of the day with an all blue sky. Yosemite National Park was for sure one of the highlights in the States.
Californian Joshua...
Sunset in Joshua Tree National Park, this tree stood next to our tent at Jumbo Rock Campground. A beautifull example of a perfect Joshua Tree I think.
Sunrise over the Gran
Black and White photo of a Grand Canyon sunrise. This picture was actually taken long after the sun arrived, but still the most shot of that day. Love the Grand Canyon...
