Being on a boat with minus 30 degrees, it's all worth it if you see these beautiful ice formations. Too bad we missed out on the icebears.

Grapsus Grapsus crab

Incredible how colourful crabs can be. The scientific name of these crabs is Grapsus Grapsus and the common name is Sally Lightfoot Crabs or also known as "Red Rock Crabs". They have the incredible ability to walk on water, as they move or jump from rock to rock and can climb up vertically.

Little boy in Masai Mara, first child in the world that I met which wouldn't laugh at me. Must be tough life living in these clay huts. The Masai are a Nilotic ethnic group of semi-nomadic people located in Kenya and northern Tanzania. Due to their distinctive customs and dress and residence near the many game parks of East Africa, they are among the most well known of African ethnic groups.

Like they were posing for the picture. My first safari in Masai Mara in 2006, really impressive. Saw many other NP's after this week but Masai Mara is still favourite!

The faunal species recorded in the park include 24 species of mammals, 25 species of reptiles, 26 species of fish, and 160 species of bird, but you will mainly find elephants here. Unfortunately we haven't seen them bathing but it was very impressive to see so many elephants gathering.

View from Adam's Peak

The climb is about 5200 steps most of the way, most pilgrims try to be on top of the mountain by sunrise as the shape of the mountain gives a shadow in triangle form. This shadow can only be seen for about 15 minutes. According to a legend Buddha is believed to have left the print of his left foot on Adam's Peak, and then, in one stride, strode across to Siam, (now Thailand) where he left the impression of his right foot.
