The Aga Khan III, Mohammed Shah, The spiritual leader of the Ismalian Muslims, died in 1957. He was buried in this mausoleum located above the white villa where he lived.Every day that his widow was at the Villa, she placed a Red Rose on his marble tomb.She died on 1st July 2000.

The dam is 1,900 m long and 54 m high. The height was raised twice but when it almost overflowed again in 1946, they decided to built the New Aswan dam 6 km further upriver.

The Tomb of Muhammad Ali is located in the Alabaster Mosque in Cairo.He is regarded as the "founder of modern Egypt" and the dynasty he established would rule Egypt until the Egyptian Revolution of 1952.Muhammad Ali died on 2 August 1849.

The Solarboat was used in the funerary ceremonies of the Pharaoh Cheops over 4000 year ago. It is located in the Solarboat Museum at the base of the Pyramid of Cheops

The felucca took us to Kitchener island where the Botanical gardens are. The felucca is a wooden sailing boat in active use as a means of transport. Popular among tourists because they are quieter than the motorboats
