Bij Byers Lake troffen we het en tijdens de wandeling rondom het meer scheen de zon volop. Ook was er geen zuchtje wind te bekennen. Met als gevolg een spiegeltje waarin de bosrand zich op haar mooist toonde.
The Knik Glacier is located just 50 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska on the northern end of the Chugach Mountains. The ice field averages over 25 miles long and over 5 miles across making it one of the largest glaciers in southcentral Alaska. Knik Glacier feeds the 25 mile long Knik River which empties into the Knik Arm section of the Cook Inlet.
This picture was taken in a place called Stewart Hyder in Alaska.
It is called the Alaska fish creek, the salmon lay their eggs here and after long journey the back here to die, very sad really the bears know this and they just come out and wait for the return of the salmon.
