It seems like I have become an ambassador for Tiengemeten but I was so impressed with the work of the Natuurmonumenten on this island - giving it back to nature in a controlled fashion.
We stayed overnight in the herberg which is a good tip. The last pont leaves the island at 17:00 and although there were never more than a handful of people on the island during the day, the evening and early morning it really was just us.
There is a pun in my title, as I think this day will be an extra special glorious day for us......................to be continued:)
