It is the end of the summer, the hay is rolled ready for the winter. This is the field in front of our bungalow, in the distance you see the south foreland lighthouse, originally warning ships away from the treacherous Goodwin Sands now owned by the national trust. Marconi received the first ship-to-shore distress message here while working on his radio waves.
The lighthouse serves delicious cream-teas, - scones, clotted cream and jam, too much of a temptation to just walk across the field.
