Our first visit to Istanbul was in 1975 enroute to India. We were young, Istanbul was exciting, exotic and romantic. We stood on the Galata bridge looking into Asia, a whole new continent lay before us.
Our second visit was in 2012, older and hopefully wiser, Asia was a continent that we knew as well as any. Istanbul was exciting, exotic and romantic. Some things never change.
