This is where we are to stay for the next two of days, our accommodation is basic as you can see, but clean. This is our home for a few days, this is their home the extended family for life. Via Liton, (our guide) we talk, we show photos of our children and grandchildren, this they can understand, we do not even begin to try to tell them how our life is back here. How many rooms (in our house) they ask, we say five and they oh and ah but of course cannot visualize what this actually means. We tell them we have a small field for vegetables (moestuin) this they can visualize and are proud that their fields are much larger. We are worlds apart, but in the next few days we find many common grounds.
