We knew beforehand that our stay in the village would be basic (a thin mattress,limited electricity and no running water), and that it was a bit of a hassle to get to there. But we were very interested to see how people really lived in rural Bangladesh.
We stayed with two elderly people (in their eighties, who could still bend like a straw). We spent the days watching the local boys play cricket, joining the women while they sorted freshly picked greens together, watching a man untangle his fishing net, The days went by and we just followed the village’s rhythm.
